Walk in Their Shoes – 5 Years of Making a Difference
Date: May 6th, 2025
What a lovely (and successful!) day we had for last Saturday’s 5th Annual Walk in Their Shoes to benefit Axium Education. We had 85 walkers and many canine friends in a parade of bright blue t-shirts walking through Carlisle’s gorgeous Great Brook Farm State Park. There were 20 South Africans, including Axium staff and alumni, walking in South Africa as well.
Please enjoy the photo memories from the day.
And a special message from Axium Co-Founder Craig Paxton:
Please also hear first-hand about the impact Axium has had on one of its students:
Final numbers (with donations still incoming) are still being tallied, but with thanks to these walkers and more than 200 donors, sponsors, and friends, we can report that this has been our most successful fundraising walk ever! Together, we are sending a powerful message to Axium’s young learners – that we believe in them, and that a better future is a goal within reach.
We would like to thank those who sponsored the walk, including event sponsors Kb Science, Gordon Denby, Carolyn & Eric Stein, Martha Svatek, and Fred & Antonia von Gottberg; and our business and individual sponsors: 2Way Travel, Blue Spruce Communications, Concord Teacakes, Happy on Main, Helen’s Restaurant, K-Rae Graphics, MacKinnon Printing, Sally Ann’s Bakery, Wheelhouse at the Bradford Mill, Josh & Chrissy Cahill, and Ned & Nancy Herter.
Many of you told us you couldn’t walk with us that day but asked if it was still possible to donate. Of course! We welcome any support you would like to give. Click here to donate or sponsor one of our walkers.
