Did you know about… Jabulani’s Rural Ability Programme
Jabulani’s Rural Ability Programme (RAP) is a community based inclusive development programme for people with disabilities. At its top tier, the RAP aims to promote and improve access and inclusion to enable people with disabilities to participate in mainstream society and have an improved quality of life.
It incorporates all aspects of a community rehabilitation programme, namely healthcare support, inclusive education, empowerment, livelihood development, and social integration. The programme has been running since 2014 and works in partnership with Zithulele Hospital and the surrounding clinics. Jabulani works with an average of 500 people per year. The RAP had been fully funded since its inception by an international organization that is now no longer funding South African programmes, so we are now trying to secure funding from other sources.
It costs approximately $150 for each person served by the program.
