Axium Education’s Executive Director Receives Award for Excellence in Education

We are pleased to share the news that Dr. Craig Paxton, our partner Axium Education’s Executive Director, has received the 2024 Harvard Graduate School of Education Alumni Council Award for Excellence in Education.

This prestigious award has been given for 38 years. The Award recognizes Craig for “the longstanding impact [he] has had on the lives of rural South African students and the community of learning and support [he] has built through Axium” as well as his “efforts to serve as a true leader and visionary in the field of education.” The Council concluded that his “dedication to elevating the level of education in rural South Africa after years of inequity is remarkable.”
