Jabulani Rural Health Foundation – Livelihoods Access Center

Jabulani Rural Health Foundation is constructing a Livelihoods Access Centre in the center of the village.  This building will serve the community in a variety of ways.

Primary funding for the building has been secured, but your donations allowed Ubuntu Global Connection’s to make a $5,000 contribution to provide much-needed office automation and a seedling garden.

John Young, co-director of Jabulani Rural Health Foundation describes their vision of having a museum in the building. “Our hope is that the courtyard and coffee shop walls will be used to tell the Zithulele story: the history of the area before the hospital was built; the arrival of the Dutch missionaries who started the hospital; how the various NGO’s came to exist in Zithulele; how we (the hospital, NGOs, and community) work together towards a unifying vision despite our different focus areas; and our collective vision for the future.”

In 2022, Jabulani Rural Health Foundation is hoping to increase the reach and impact of the Rural Abilities Program, which serves people who struggle with mobility and access. If you have a special interest in supporting people with physical challenges, please direct your donation to Jabulani Rural Health Foundation, or select “Health Care” in the matching challenge form.
