Zithulele Independent School – Building Project

In September, we hosted a zoom meeting so that Sally Le Roux, lead teacher and visionary for Zithulele Independent School, could share their plans for a crucial building project needed for the upcoming school year. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to send $35,000 to help them create a classroom for Grade 7 and for additional staff space and toilets.

The project is well underway.  With some funding from other sources and an additional $15,000 from us, they are on track to have the buildings completed for the start of their school year in January 2022.  Sally Le Roux expressed her appreciation in a recent message,“Ubuntu [Global Connections] is literally building us a school. Brick by brick. Thank you!”
